A compendium of the genus mononchoides rahm, 1928 (diplogastrinae: nematoda).

چکیده
The diplogasterid genus Mononchoides Rahm, 1928 (syn: Eudiplogaster Paramonov, 1952) is reviewed. Examination of the descriptions of nominal species and synonyms indicates that generic characters are stave-like anterior stomal rhabdions, a claw-like dorsal tooth and subventral pyramidal tooth, and a cylindrical or prismatic telostom which is somewhat smaller in diameter than the protostom region. An amended generic description, a key to 18 species, and a table of diagnostic data is given. Mononchoides rhabdoderma (Völk, 1950) n. comb. and M. subamericanus (van der Linde, 1938) n. comb. are proposed. Diplogaster fictor Bastian, 1865 is regarded as species indeterminata while D. trichiuroides Schneider, 1937 is placed in species inquirendae. The differences between Mononchoides and five closely related genera of the Diplogastrinae are outlined.

Description of a new species of Acrostichus Rahm 1928 (Nematoda: Diplogastridae) from India with a note on its position and relationship with the congeners
BACKGROUND The clade Diplogastridae Micoletzky 1922 largely represents the bacterivorous or predatory nematodes that very often demonstrate phoretic, necromenic or parasitic associations with insects (Sudhaus and Fürst von Lieven 2003). That is the reason, much of the diversity of the family remains undocumented because of their absence from routine soil samples. Due to their variable habitats ...

Quercorhabditis rajouriensis gen. n., sp. n. is described and illustrated. Distinctive characters include a labial region set off by a constriction and wider than adjoining body, heavily sclerotized cheilostom with arched rhabdions, barely differentiable stegostom, amphidelphic gonads, spicules with a free dorsal arm, and a leptoderan bursa with ten pairs of bursal papillae. The new genus resem...

متن کاملThe systematic status of Philometra abdominalis Nybelin, 1928 (Nematoda: Philometridae) [= a junior synonym of P. ovata (Zeder, 1803)].
Examination of the original literature concerning species of Philometra (Philometridae, Dracunculoidea) parasitic in the abdominal cavity of European cyprinids revealed that P. abdominalis Nybelin, 1928 is a junior synonym of P. ovata (Zeder, 1803), a parasite of cyprinids of the genera Gobio, Phoxinus and Leuciscus. The valid name of the species parasitizing cyprinids of the genera Abramis, Ru...
متن کاملA key and diagnostic compendium to the species of the genus hoplolaimus daday, 1905 (nematoda: hoplolaimidae).
An identification key to 29 valid species of Hoplolaimus is given. A compendium of the most important diagnostic characters for use in identification of species is included as a practical alternative and supplement to the key. Diagnosis of Hoplolaimus is emended and lists of species of the genus, their synonymies, species inquirendae, nomina nuda, and species transferred to other genera are giv...
